It was the year 1967. The dictatorial regime had decided to deliver the final blow to religious faith, with terrorist acts that Albanians had never experienced before.

With explosive detonations, tanks, and heavy equipment, 2172 places of worship were destroyed, including 740 mosques, 609 Orthodox churches, 158 Catholic churches, and 530 tekes, among which the church of St. Koll in Shkodra was also one of the religious objects.

Around 13 years ago, this church was rebuilt, together with the bell tower which were ordinated in 2008
